USA South Men's Golf Athletes of the Week - Sept. 29, 2010

Golfer of the Week
          Andrew Tilley, Averett - The senior from Ringgold, Virginia won the Hampden-Sydney Invitational in Farmville, Virginia last week by shooting a five-over par 149. In the two-day event, Tilley opened with a five-over par 77 then finished with an even-par 72. His performance led the Cougars to a first place finish at the event.

Golf Rookie of the Week
          Brandon Grogan, Averett - The freshman from Martinsville, Virginia placed tied for fourth at the Hampden-Sydney  Invitational in Farmville, Virginia last week by shooting a seven-over par 151. In the two-day event, Grogan opened with a five-over par 77 then finished with a two-over par 74. His performance helped the Cougars to a first place finish at the event.
