Mike Green, Christopher
Newport - The senior forward/center
from Norfolk, Virginia averaged a double-double of
28.5 points and 12.5 rebounds per game to go along with
2.5 blocks and 1.0 steals per game as the
Captains compiled a 1-1 record last week versus USA
South competition. Green notched double-doubles in each of his
two contests last week. In an 90-86 loss to N.C.
Wesleyan, Green totaled 33 points, 13 rebounds, three blocks
and one steal. In an 80-67 win over
nationally-ranked Ferrum, Green contributed 24 points, 12
rebounds two blocks and one steal. Also Nominated: Derek Mitchell,

Newport - The
Chesapeake, Virginia senior guard averaged 34.5
points, 3.0 assists, 2.5 rebounds and 1.0 steals per game as
the Captains compiled a 2-0 record last week versus USA South
competition. In a 97-46 victory over N.C. Wesleyan,
Schweers scored 31 points, collected two steals, grabbed one
rebound, dished out one assist and blocked one shot. In a
99-81 win over Ferrum, Schweers totaled 38 points, five
assists and four rebounds. Also Nominated: Megan Rahn,

Richmond, Virginia freshman guard/forward averaged 8.5 points,
10.0 rebounds, 1.0 assists and 1.0 steals per game as the
Captains compiled a 1-1 record last week versus USA
South competition. In an 90-86 loss to N.C.
Wesleyan, Benefield totaled five points, ten rebounds,
one assist and one steal. In an 80-67 win over
nationally-ranked Ferrum, Benefield tallied his fifth
double-double of the season with 12 points and ten rebounds. He
also added one assist and one rebound in the victory. Also
Nominated: Avery Green, Shenandoah.

Davis, Christopher Newport - The
Hampton, Virginia freshman guard averaged 17.5 points, 6.5
rebounds and 4.0 assists per game as the Captains
compiled a 2-0 record last week versus USA South
competition. In a 97-46 victory over N.C. Wesleyan, Davis
scored 19 points, grabbed seven rebounds and dished
four assists. In a 99-81 win over Ferrum, Davis
totaled 16 points, six rebounds, four assists and one block. Also
Nominated: Katelyn Bradley, Peace; Kayla Goins, Ferrum; Chevena
Pickard, Greensboro.
