USA South Men's Golf Athletes of the Week - March 30, 2011

Golfer of the Week
          Brock Elder, Greensboro - The senior from Greensboro, North Carolina placed second at the Camp LeJeune Golf Collegiate Championship in LeJeune, North Carolina last week by shooting a six-under par 208. In the three-day event, Elder opened with a three-under par 69 then shot a five-under par 65 before finishing with a two-over par 74. His performance helped lead the The Pride to a fourth-place finish at the event. Also Nominated: Joseph Evans, Christopher Newport.

Golf Rookie of the Week
          Dakun Chang, Methodist - The freshman from Arden, North Carolina placed tied for 36th at the Camp LeJeune Golf Collegiate Championship in LeJeune, North Carolina last week by shooting a five-over par 219. In the three-day event, Chang opened with a two-over par 74 then shot an even-par 70 before finishing with a three-over par 75. His performance helped the Monarchs to finish tied for seventh at the event.
