Golfer of the Week
Kalle Kangas, Averett - The
senior from Vantaa, Finland placed eighth out of 75
golfers at the Tom Kinder Memorial Tournament in Bridgewater,
Virginia last week by shooting a four-over 148. In the two-day
event, Kangas opened with a four-over par 76 and followed
with a one-under 71. His performance helped the Cougars to a
fifth place finish at the event. Also Nominated: Adam Coelho,
NC Wesleyan; Jacob Hardy, Ferrum.
Golf Rookie of the Week
Stephen Bardswick, N.C. Wesleyan
- The freshman from Oakville, Ontario placed tied for
36th out of 75 golfers at the Tom Kinder Memorial Tournament
in Bridgewater, Virginia last week by shooting an 11-over 155. In
the two-day event, Bardswick opened with a four-over par 76 and
followed with a seven-over 79. His performance helped the Bishops
to a 12th place finish at the event. Also Nominated: Brock
Cox, Ferrum.
