USA South Men's Golf Athletes of the Week - April 11, 2012

Golfer of the Week
          Robby Bruns, Methodist - The senior from Fayetteville, North Carolina finished third at the Emory Invitational in Atlanta, Georgia last week by shooting a one-under par 143. In the two-day event, Bruns opened with a two-over par 74 and finished with a three-under par 69. His performance helped the Monarchs capture the tournament title. Also Nominated: Brian Jaeger, Christopher Newport; Scott Obenshain, Ferrum.

Golf Rookie of the Week
          Lucas Norman, N.C. Wesleyan - The freshman from Halmstad, Sweden placed tied for third at the Glenn Heath Shipbuilders Memorial in Williamsburg, Virginia last week by shooting a 12-over par 154. In the two-day event, Norman opened with a seven-over par 78 and finished with a five-over par 76. His performance helped the Bishops to a sixth place finish at the event.
