USA South Lacrosse History
-
- The USA South began
sponsoring women's lacrosse championships in 2001.
Previously, only three schools had sponsored the sport: Ferrum,
Greensboro, and Shenandoah. Christopher Newport's addition
of the sport in 2001 gave the league the minimum four teams to
begin awarding a league title. In 2002, Methodist became the
latest member school to add the sport.
