USA South Women's Soccer History

 

The USA South began sponsoring women's soccer championships in 1984, with Methodist winning a share of eight of the first 11 team titles.  North Carolina Wesleyan has won or shared eight of the last 15 team titles. Recently, Christopher Newport and Methodist have each won two titles in the last four years. The league began sponsoring a post-season women's soccer tournament in 2000, with Christopher Newport, N.C. Wesleyan, Greensboro and Methodist winning titles and earning a berth into the NCAA Division III playoffs.
