USA South Women's Tennis History

- The USA South
began sponsoring women's tennis championships in 1982, with UNC-Greensboro winning the first seven team titles. Since
then, Methodist (14 titles) and Averett (6 titles) have taken the
lion's share of the team titles. Methodist's Elena Blanina
won the 2001 NCAA Division III singles title in just her first-ever
appearance, winning all six of her matches in straight sets. She also won in 2002.
