USA South Presents Awards At Christopher Newport

(Rocky Mount, NC) - The USA South Athletic Conference presented various awards at Christopher Newport during its football game versus Rowan on Saturday, September 1. 

Conference Commissioner Rita Wiggs presented the overall, male and female Presidents Cups to CNU. On hand to receive the awards were CNU President Paul Trible, Assistant Athletic Director John Waters and Senior Woman Administrator Carolyn Hunter. This was the first time since the Conference began awarding three Presidents Cups that one institution has received all three trophies.

Also presented at the game was the USA South Woman of the Year Award and its most prestigious award, the Don Scalf. Both honors were awarded to former CNU Woman's Soccer player, Ashley Glover. Glover earned a 3.99 cumulative grade point average and was a four-time member of the USA South Academic All-Conference Team. She also received Soccer All-Conference honors three times during her career.
