USA South Holds Annual Football Media Day

(WILLIAMSBURG, Va.) - The USA South Athletic Conference held its sixth annual Football Media Day August 1.  Coaches, administrators and media all traveled to Ford's Colony in Williamsburg, Va. for the event hosted by Christopher Newport University.  Head Coaches from all eight, football-playing, member institutions were present and each gave a preview of their upcoming season.

The day began with Director of Athletics at CNU, C.J. Woollum, welcoming everyone to Ford's Colony and Williamsburg, Va.  Woollum then introduced Rita Wiggs, Commissioner of the USA South, who welcomed everyone and expressed her excitement for the upcoming football season.  Emcee Francis Tommasino, Director of Athletic Communications at CNU, took over from there.  Each Coach addressed the assembled crowd and answered questions.  The media session was then followed by a buffet lunch and golf at one of Ford's Colony's three golf courses.  The event was a great way to kick off the upcoming USA South football season.
