Conference Holds New Coaches Seminar

(ROCKY MOUNT, N.C.) - The USA South Athletic Conference held its third annual seminar for new coaches to the Conference.  The meeting was held on the campus of N.C. Wesleyan College in Rocky Mount, N.C.  USA South Commissioner, Rita Wiggs organized the event which was aimed to familiarize the coaches with the USA South way of life.  Wiggs discussed such topics as conference procedures, professionalism, sportsmanship and NCAA rules and regulations. Guest speaker John Thompson, Director of Athletics at N.C. Wesleyan College, addressed the group about the role of sportsmanship in the USA South. The conference has adopted the slogan "Got Sportsmanship!" for its new sportsmanship initiative.
