Methodist Holds "Take a Kid to the Game"

February 8, 2005 - For the eighth consecutive year, Methodist
College hosted "Take a Kid to the Game, " an NCAA-sponsored event that
provides schools a national grassroots program designed to encourage
adults to take children to collegiate athletic contests.
Local
families, schools and various other youth organizations were invited to
watch both the Methodist men and women take on Averett University.
Children were admitted free with a paying adult and were also offered
free popcorn and soft drinks. Upon admittance, kids were given
goody bags, courtesy of sponsor Nelson & Nelson Chiropractic Center.
The kids were entered in drawings to win various door prizes and
participate in basketball contests. A good time was had by all.
