Methodist Hosts Special Olympics

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. - Methodist University welcomed Special Olympics Cumberland County on Wednesday for the annual track and field games. Student-athletes were on hand to assist as volunteers and division buddies.

Before the event started, Methodist baseball player and Student Athlete Advisory Committee President Trey Such presented a check for $116.00 from funds raised through the USA South initiative "Pennies for a Purpose." The athletics department collected change during the spring semester to donate to Special Olympics.
