USA South Dishes Out Spring Awards

(BURLINGTON, NC) - The USA South Conference Tournaments for baseball, softball, women's lacrosse, men's tennis, women's tennis and men's golf are all underway in Burlington, North Carolina.

The athletes stepped away from competition on Friday night for the annual Spring Sports Festival Awards Banquet at Burlington's Williams High School. The athletes were treated to a barbeque dinner on the lawn of the school courtesy of the Burlington Recreation & Parks Department. After the teams finished their meals, they moved into the Williams High School auditorium as members of the 2012 USA South All-Conference Teams and Regular Season Team Champions officially received their honors. Scott Musa, Shenandoah University Assistant Athletic Director for Communications served as emcee while Commissioner Wiggs presented each honoree with their award.

The teams now shift their focus back to the fields as games resume in the morning.
