Averett Student-Athletes Read for Local Kids

DANVILLE, Va. — Several Averett University student-athletes brought some children's books to life during a reading for little kids at the Danville Public Library on Wednesday morning. The "Wednesdays for Wees" event, sponsored by Smart Beginnings, allowed local children to hear some of their favorite stories read by Averett senior volleyball players Paige Aaron and Hannah Wetherald, football senior Justin Gillespie and freshman men's soccer player Brian Benitez.

The four Cougars read stories to the group of nearly 20 young children, then helped pass out snacks to the kids.
