Martinsville Readies For USA South Fall Championships
(MARTINSVILLE, VA) - The City of Martinsville, Virginia conducted a press conference to announce the details of the upcoming USA South Fall Sports Festival. The event took place on Thursday, October 18 at the Smith River Sports Complex in Martinsville. USA South Commissioner Rita Wiggs and several community leaders were among those on hand for the festivities.
The Fall Festival will feature the championships of the Men's Soccer, Women's Soccer and Volleyball Conference Tournaments and take place on Friday and Saturday, November 2-3 in Martinsville. The first rounds of the men's and women's soccer tournaments will begin on campus sites on Saturday, October 27 while all three rounds of the volleyball tournament will occur in Martinsville.

The top-eight teams in the sports of men's and women's soccer will qualify for Conference tournament play. Teams advancing past the first round in the sports of men's and women's soccer will head to the Smith River Sports Complex in Martinsville, Virginia. This is the fourth consecutive year the USA South has held its soccer semifinal and final contests in Martinsville.
The top-eight volleyball teams will qualify for the Conference tournament and head to Martinsville's Patrick Henry Community College for the opening, semifinal and final rounds. The matches will take place in Stone Hall on the Patrick Henry campus. This is the first time the USA South has held its volleyball tournament matches in Martinsville.
The Conference will once again offer live stats and video of each semifinal and final contest via the official tournament websites. The stats and video will be available once a contest is in progress. If possible, live stats and/or video of first round contests will be supplied by the host institution and can be accessed by visiting their athletic website.
