Piedmont Unveils New Website Design & Features

CLARKESVILLE, Georgia – The official home of Piedmont College Athletics (PiedmontLions.com) has released a re-designed version with enhanced features and streamlined design. The website serves as the primary source for Piedmont College athletics news and is powered by SIDEARM Sports. The goal of the Athletic Communications office is to provide you, the fans, with not only great coverage of our athletics programs, but promotion our programs through information easily accessible at our online home.

Social media integration has improved with the redesign. The athletic department Twitter account (@PiedmontLions) is integrated to the homepage. Additionally, it is much easier to access sport schedules and navigate through the website with additional drop down menus available. PiedmontLions.com will continue to be the primary source for news regarding all 15 varsity athletics programs sponsored by Piedmont College.

The redesign is the second since launching the enhanced home of Piedmont College Athletics with SIDEARM Sports in 2007. “When we first launched PiedmontLions.com with SIDEARM Sports in August of 2007, everyone was thrilled with the extensive, more detailed and comprehensive coverage that we were able to provide,” said PC Assistant Athletic Director Lee Glenn. “In conjunction with our recent move to the USA South Athletic Conference, we are very excited about the redesign of PiedmontLions.com and all of the new and interactive features that the site offers.

The new site is also much more mobile device friendly from a navigation standpoint and should allow fans to get all information on their smart phones and tablets.

PiedmontLions.com has a social media hub for fans to follow the latest information through Twitter and SMS text messages.

All-Access
Can’t make it to the game? No problem. Piedmont offers live statistics for almost all home contests as well as audio broadcasts courtesy of WCON radio of Cornelia.

Schedules
Each Piedmont team's schedule is located on their respective team pages, but did you know you can see a composite schedule with every game listed? You can even download the calendar to your computer or smart phone. The new site also has quick access to Upcoming Games and Results directly on the front page with opponent logos and links readily accessible.

Gear Store
Whether you want T-shirts, hats or even bumper stickers, you can purchase the latest apparel online through Piedmont’s Gear Store website.

Photo Galleries
Most of Piedmont’s sports have current and archived photo galleries available courtesy of Dr. Jasper Lee, Dr. Delene Lee, Piedmont College student Brian Gaid, the Piedmont College Office of Sports Information, and the Piedmont College Public Relations Office.

Downloads
Fans can get downloadable information about PC athletics such as printable schedule posters, computer desktop wallpapers and publications such as the PC Athletics Viewbook.

Support
Fans can support Piedmont Athletics by becoming a member of the “P” Club, a non-profit organization whose primary objective is to raise money to provide a positive experience for Piedmont student-athletes and fans.
