Christopher Newport Tops Men's and Women's Cross Country Pre-Season Polls

August 25, 2003 - The USA South Athletic Conference has announced the results of its 2003 cross country pre-season polls.  The Christopher Newport men and women were both picked to finish first this season.  Ferrum's and Greensboro's men were both predicted to finish second.  The Ferrum women were also picked to finish second.  The poll is voted on by the cross country coach at each school.  Each school is not allowed to vote for its own team.   

Both the Captain men and women won their respective Conference championship in 2002.  The Panther men finished third while the women placed second.
