Lacrosse Tournament Seeding Set

April 12, 2004 - Following the conclusion of the regular season this weekend, the seeding for the 2004 USA South Lacrosse Tournament has been set.  Christopher Newport, Methodist and Greensboro, regular season tri-champions, are seeded first, second and third, respectively.  Shenandoah is in the fourth position, followed by Ferrum at fifth and Averett in the sixth spot. 

The tournament opens Tuesday with two quarterfinal games.   The Pride will host the Cougars in Greensboro at 4:00.  The Hornets will take on the Panthers at 4:00 in Winchester.  The tournament will then resume on Friday at Ferrum College.  In the first semi-final at 1:00, Christopher Newport will face the winner of the Shenandoah/Ferrum game.  Methodist will take on the Greensboro/Averett winner at 4:00.  The winners of those two games will meet for the championship at 1:00 on Saturday.
