Softball Tournament Seeding Determined

April 15, 2004 - Following the conclusion of the regular season yesterday, the seeding for the 2004 USA South Softball Tournament has been set.  Regular season champion Christopher Newport is the top seed, followed by Methodist at two.  The Monarchs won last year's tournament.  Ferrum is slated third, followed by Peace and Averett at fourth and fifth, respectively.  Chowan is seeded sixth, while N.C. Wesleyan is seventh.  Greensboro and Shenandoah round out the bracket, seeded eighth and ninth, respectively.  The tournament runs Friday through Sunday in Raleigh, NC.
