Women's Tennis Awards Announced

April 21, 2004 – The USA South Athletic Conference has announced its end of the year awards for women's tennis. 
The All-Conference teams were determined at the Conference tournament over the weekend and can be found below.  Shenandoah's Anne Stephenson has been named the Player of the Year.  Charlotte Davis of Peace is the Rookie of the Year.  MC's Kelly Brown is the 2004 Coach of the Year. 

Stephenson, a senior from Winchester, VA, went undefeated in singles action this year.  She won the Conference singles and doubles titles at the number one flight.  Stephenson was also an ITA semi-finalist in the fall. 

A sophomore from Roanoke Rapids, Davis earned Second Team All-Conference honors this season.  She was 5-1 in Conference action during the season at the second flight.  She also went 2-1 at the tournament. 

Brown just completed her first season at the helm of the Monarchs.  She led them to their third straight Conference title and 10th overall.  The team finished the season 11-5 overall and undefeated in USA South action.
