Golf Awards Announced

April 14, 2005 – The USA South Athletic Conference has announced its All-Conference awards for golf.  Methodist and Greensboro paced the Conference with five and four members respectively.  Methodist's Eric Dugas has been named the Player of the Year and Tom Bullock of Greensboro is the Rookie of the Year.  Greensboro's Robert Linville was tabbed the 2005 Coach of the Year. 

Dugas, a senior from Brewster, Mass., was medalist at the Greensboro Invitational in October and was second at the Tom O'Briant Memorial the week before.  He has a 73.53 stroke average through 17 rounds this past year.  This year marks the second consecutive year that Dugas has earned First Team All-Conference honors. 

A freshman from Greensboro, N.C., Bullock posted a 73.7 stroke average this season.  Bullock placed second at the Callaway Collegiate Invitational and the Camp Lejeune Intercollegiate Invitational. 

Linville is in his10th year at the helm of the Pride.  He has guided his team to six top-10 finishes out of eight tournaments this past season.  The Coach of the Year honor is Linville's fourth in his ten year career at Greensboro.
