CNU Tops Lacrosse Pre-Season Poll

February 2, 2005 - The USA South Athletic Conference has announced the results of its 2005 lacrosse pre-season poll.  Christopher Newport has been selected to finish first this upcoming season, slightly edging out Greensboro by one vote.  The poll is voted on by the lacrosse coach at each school.  The Captains split the 2004 regular season championship with GC and Methodist.  CNU finished the year 6-9 overall and 4-1 in USA South action.  The Pride won the Conference tournament last season and finished 9-8 overall, including going 4-1 in the USA South.
