Men's Basketball Tournament Seeding Determined

February 20, 2005 - Following the conclusion of the regular season this afternoon, the seeding for the 2005 USA South Men's Basketball Tournament has been set and follows:

1. Methodist (10-2)
2. Christopher Newport (8-4)
3. Averett (6--6)
4. Greensboro (6-6)
5. Shenandoah (6-6)
6. Ferrum (4-8)
7. N.C. Wesleyan (2-10)

The tournament is being held Thursday, February 24 through Saturday, February 26 at Greensboro College.  In the first round, CNU will play NCWC at 3:00; AU will play FC at 5:00; and GC will play SU at 7:00.  MC, as the top seed, receives a first-round bye.  The semi-finals will be Friday at 6:00 and 8:00.  The highest seeded team will play first, unless GC is still playing, in which case they would play the late game.   The championship game will be Saturday at 4:00.
