USA South Men's Soccer Tournament First Round Action

(FAYETTEVILLE, N.C.) - The 2006 USA South Men's Soccer Tournament has begun with two first round games being played on Tuesday, Oct. 31. Third-seeded Greensboro defeated Ferrum, 2-1 while fourth-seeded Methodist slipped by fifth-seeded Shenandoah, 2-1.

The tournament now shifts to Christopher Newport University on Friday and Saturday, Nov. 3-4, as the top-seeded Captains host the semifinals and finals. On Friday, Greensboro will battle N.C. Wesleyan in the first game at 5:00 p.m., followed by Methodist taking on Christopher Newport at 7:30 p.m. The championship game will be the following day at 7:00 p.m.
