USA South Women's Soccer Awards Announced

(FAYETTEVILLE, N.C.) - The USA South Athletic Conference has announced its All-Conference awards for women's soccer.  A total of 33 student-athletes have been named to the USA South All-Conference teams. Methodist swept all of the individual awards as Chrystal Bradley has been named the Player of the Year, Whitney Roberson is the Rookie of the Year and Monarch head coach Tony Tommasi is the Coach of the Year.

Bradley, a junior midfielder from Fairfax, Virginia played an integral role in the Monarchs winning the USA South regular season title.  Bradley led the USA South in all offensive categories. In the regular season, she tallied 74 points on 31 goals and 13 assists. Bradley is currently second in the nation in points and goals per game average. This is the third consecutive First Team All-Conference honor for Bradley.

Roberson, a Kitty Hawk, North Carolina freshman forward, was second behind Bradley in the offensive categories with 22 goals and 12 assists for 55 points. Roberson is currently ranked tenth in the nation in points per game and 12th in goals per game. Additionally, Roberson led the USA South with six game winning goals.

Tommasi, in his first year as the head of the Monarchs, took the program to its first outright conference regular season title since 1995. Tommasi led Methodist to a 14-3-1 regular season record and an undefeated, 7-0, mark in USA South action.
