N.C. Wesleyan Picked to Win USA South Men's Soccer Title

(FAYETTEVILLE, N.C.) - N.C. Wesleyan College, under the direction of sixth-year Head Coach Jason Kilby, was picked in the preseason coaches' poll to win the USA South Athletic Conference men's soccer title in 2007. The Bishops will be looking to capture their first title since 2005 and their third title in the last four seasons.

N.C. Wesleyan received four of seven first place votes (33 points) as head coaches do not vote for their own teams in the balloting.

Defending regular season champion Christopher Newport University finished second in the balloting with 31 points and two first place votes. Two-time defending USA South Tournament Champion Greensboro College rounded out the top-three as The Pride collected 28 points and the final remaining first place vote.

The men's soccer regular season gets underway on Friday, August 31 when Ferrum College, Greensboro and Christopher Newport each take to the pitch.
