USA South Men's Soccer Tournament Seeding Determined

(FAYETTEVILLE, N.C.) - After the completion of the regular season today, the seeding for the men's soccer tournament has been determined. The 2007 USA South Men's Soccer Tournament consists of the top-six teams in the Conference and will begin Tuesday, October 30 with quarterfinal matches hosted by the #3 and #4 seed.  The semifinal and championship games will be played on Friday and Saturday, November 2 and 3 at top-seeded N.C. Wesleyan College. Both N.C. Wesleyan and second-seeded Christopher Newport receive first round byes and advance to the semifinals. 

Methodist and Greensboro each completed the regular season with identical 3-2-1 records within conference play. The lone contest between the Monarchs and The Pride ended in a tie while each team defeated Shenandoah, Ferrum and Averett for their conference wins. Therefore, by virtue of a coin toss tiebreaker, Methodist will be the third seed and Greensboro will be the fourth seed.

3. Methodist 3-2-1
4. Greensboro 3-2-1
5. Shenandoah 2-4
6. Ferrum 1-5
