Christopher Newport Captures USA South
Women's Basketball Tournament Championship
(FAYETTEVILLE, N.C.) - The 2007 USA South Women's Basketball Tournament concluded on Saturday, February 24 with Christopher Newport defeating Ferrum, 77-53, in the championship game. The Captains controlled the game throughout and pulled away with a strong second half performance. With the victory, the Captains receive the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.
