USA South Women's Soccer Tournament Seeding Determined

(FAYETTEVILLE, N.C.) - After the completion of the regular season today, the seeding for the women's soccer tournament has been determined. The 2007 USA South Women's Soccer Tournament consists of the top-eight teams in the Conference and will begin Tuesday, October 30 with quarterfinal matches hosted by the top four seeds. The semifinal and championship games will be played on Friday and Saturday, November 2 and 3 at the highest remaining seed after the conclusion of first round play.

Peace and Mary Baldwin each completed the regular season with identical 1-7-1 records within conference play. The lone contest between the Pacers and Squirrels ended in a tie while each team defeated Averett for their only conference wins. Therefore, by virtue of a coin toss tiebreaker, Mary Baldwin has advanced to postseason play and will be the eighth seed.

1. Methodist 9-0
2. Christopher Newport 8-1
3. Greensboro 7-2
4. Meredith 6-3
5. Ferrum 5-4
