Methodist Wins USA South Women's Tennis Tournament

(FAYETTEVILLE, N.C.) - In a tight match between the Conference's two top teams, Methodist defeated Christopher Newport, 5-3, to win its first USA South Women's Tennis Tournament Championship in Burlington, North Carolina. The Monarchs fell to the Lady Captains during regular season play but began the championship match well by earning two key doubles victories. With the title, the Monarchs earn the USA South's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.
