USA South Student-Athletes and Staffs Attend Leadership Conference

(FAYETTEVILLE, N.C.) - The USA South Athletic Conference was well-represented at the NCAA Division III Student-Athlete Leadership Conference in Dallas, Texas this past weekend. Nine of the Conference's ten member institutions were among the hundreds of schools that participated in the three-day event. Also joining the student-athletes and school staff members were Methodist University Director of Athletics Bob McEvoy, who served as a NCAA facilitator, and USA South Assistant Commissioner Mike Christie.

The student-athletes and athletics administrators worked together to facilitate dialogue, address Division III-specific issues, learn about their personal leadership characteristics and create partnerships needed to impact positive change at the campus, conference and divisional level. The participants were separated into randomly assigned groups but also met as Conference and school teams. Each school was tasked with creating an "Action Plan" designed to address a specific need or problem on their campus. The groups developed strategies to a produce a solution to the concern and will bring these back to their campuses.

Below are photos of USA South members developing and presenting their "Action Plans":
