Wendy Jones Named Assistant Director of Athletics at Peace College

(RALEIGH, N.C.) - Peace College Director of Athletics, Kelly Johnson announced that Wendy Jones has been named Assistant Director of Athletics. Jones will continue as Sports Information Director as well as Senior Woman Administrator duties for the college. She is a member of both the College Sports Information Directors Association (CoSIDA) and the North Carolina Collegiate Sports Information Association (NCCSIA).

Jones earned her Bachelor of Arts from Agnes Scott College in 1993 as well as a Master of Arts in Exercise and Sport Science in 2000 from East Carolina University. She was the first Athletic Director at Raleigh Charter High School where she also coached Volleyball and Girls’ Basketball for four years (2001-2005).

According to Johnson, “Wendy just finished her first year with Peace College and could not have handled the transition any better. Her athletic administrative experience as well as work ethic will be an asset to the athletic department, and this appointment will strengthen the department."
