Christopher Newport and Greensboro Advance to Lacrosse Championship
(BURLINGTON, N.C.) - The 2008 USA South Lacrosse Tournament semifinals in Burlington, N.C. saw the top-two seeds advance to the finals tomorrow, Saturday, April 19. Top-seeded Christopher Newport had little trouble with fourth-seeded Ferrum, defeating the Panthers, 23-1. The Captains will now face second-seeded Greensboro who dismissed third-seeded Methodist, 22-11, Due to the possibility of rain showers later in the day, the championship game has been moved up one hour to 12:00 p.m.
