N.C. Wesleyan Picked to Win USA South Men's Soccer Title

(FAYETTEVILLE, N.C.) - N.C. Wesleyan College, under the direction of seventh-year Head Coach Jason Kilby, was picked in the preseason coaches' poll to win the USA South Athletic Conference men's soccer title in 2008. The Bishops will be looking to capture their second consecutive regular season title. NCWC has earned three of the past four regular season USA South crowns.

N.C. Wesleyan received four of seven first place votes (34 points) as head coaches do not vote for their own teams in the balloting.

Three-time defending USA South Tournament champion Greensboro College finished second in the balloting with 30 points and two first place votes. The 2006 regular season champions, Christopher Newport University, rounded out the top-three as the Captains collected 29 points and the final first place vote.

The men's soccer regular season gets underway on Friday, August 29 when Christopher Newport hosts Medaille.
