Meredith SAAC Receives Recognition In NCAA Newsletter

(FAYETTEVILLE, NC) - The National Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) recognizes successful conference and institutional SAACs in each quarterly Division III Newsletter. The committee selected Meredith College to be featured in its most recent spotlight (March 2008).

In October, the Meredith College SAAC worked with the Special Olympics of Wake Country to organize the college's first clinic on campus. Student-athletes from each of Meredith's six sports joined together to provide a soccer and tennis clinic for Special Olympic athletes. Approximately 60 athletes came to take part in the clinic, and they received plenty of attention, as 75 Meredith student-athletes and coaches volunteered their time.
