Newport Advance to
Final Day of Softball Tournament
(BURLINGTON, N.C.) - The 2008 USA South Softball Tournament has completed two of its three days of play. The lone undefeated team remaining in the tournament is second-seeded Christopher Newport. The Captains have advanced to tomorrow's championship game against an opponent to be determined. Fourth-seeded Greensboro and ninth-seeded Averett will battle in the first game of the final day to decide who advances to face Christopher Newport for the championship.
