Methodist Captures USA South Women's Tennis Tournament Title

(BURLINGTON, N.C.) - For the second consecutive season, Methodist has claimed 2008 USA South Women's Tennis Tournament championship. The top-seeded Monarchs earned a 7-2 victory over second-seeded Christopher Newport in the title match. Methodist used two doubles wins to begin the match and captured four of five singles matches to secure the win. Despite her team's defeat in the finals, Christopher Newport's top singles-player, Lindsey Pantele, was named MVP as she finished with a 3-0 tournament record.
