Methodist Wins USA South Golf Tournament Championship

(MEBANE, N.C.) - Methodist captured the 2009 USA South Men's Golf Tournament on Sunday, April 19 in Mebane, N.C. The Monarchs shot a 865 (+1) over the three-day event, defeating its closest competitors, Greensboro by 33 strokes. This championship is Methodist's seventh consecutive and 27th all-time.

Individually, Methodist's Tom Cooper earns tournament medalist honors, for the second consecutive year, by shooting a 209 (69-69-71). His teammate, Matt Bova placed second with a 2216 (71-71-74) while another Monarch, Josh Schrader (74-74-73-221) shared the third spot with Averett's Brad Hartman (75-73-73-221).
