CNU Football Continues To Rise In AFCA Poll

October 21, 2003 – The American Football Coaches Association has released its weekly Top 25 poll and Christopher Newport continues to steadily rise in the rankings.  Behind a 31-7 win over Chowan, the Captains are currently 5-1 and ranked 21st.  This marks the third consecutive week CNU has been ranked by AFCA and they have improved their position each of those weeks.  The Captains were ranked 22cd last week, after debuting on the poll at 25th the previous week.
