August 17, 2004 - Director of Athletics Kelly Johnson named Kurt Bienias as head soccer coach at Peace College. A resident of Raleigh, NC, Bienias brings 20 years of coaching experience to the program. “I feel that Coach Bienias will help our soccer program grow and become stronger in our early membership in the USA South Athletic Conference,” said Johnson Bienias comes to Peace after serving as head coach for Ohio University Men’s club team. He led the team to a high conference finish in the fall of 2003 and while posting an 8-6-3 season record. Bienias also served as the Assistant men’s coach at Barton College, an NCAA Division II college located in Wilson, NC. He helped head coach Gary Hall lead the team to an 8-6-3 record for the 2002 season. Other coaching experience includes Head Coach at Saint Mary’s High School in Raleigh, NC, Head Coach at Kaiserslautern Military Community/United soccer club in Germany and Head Men’s Coach at the Ramstein High School in Germany. Bienias served in the United States Air Force as the Regional Director of Admissions (RDA) for 23 years. He was nationally handpicked and placed in charge of the areas recruiting budge, travel and advertisement for the Air Force Academy and Air force scholarship Programs. “Peace College is providing young
women the opportunity to learn and grow through the sport of soccer and
