Christopher Newport Slip In Regional Ranking

February 26, 2003 - The NCAA Division III Men's Basketball Committee has released this week's final regional poll and Christopher Newport has slipped in the rankings.  With an 21-4 overall record (14-4 regionally) through February 23, the Captains were ranked fifth in the South Region.  They had been ranked third the past four weeks.  The regional rankings, with regional record followed by overall record, are:

3. Trinity (Texas)                     14-3            18-7
4. DePauw                               12-2            17-7
5. Christopher Newport       14-4            21-4
