Eleven Men, Four Women Soccer Players Named All-Region

December 6, 2004 - The National Soccer Coaches Association of America has announced its All-South Region teams for 2004 and 15 total USA South players were among those honored.  On the men's side, 11 student-athletes were named to the regional teams, while four women also made the list.

For the men: Greensboro's Tony Falvino and N.C. Wesleyan's Lucas Fuentes were named First Team.  Bishops Mario Acosta and Davorin Husadinovic, along with GC's Galen Reid and Christopher Newport's Nick Yannitello, made the Second Team.  Captains Brian Shumate, Justin Chezem and Billy Lucas were all named to the Third Team.  GC's Sam Hale and Methodist's Thomas Bennett also made the Third Team All-Region. 

For the women, CNU and MC had two representatives each.  Captain Ashleigh Dota and Monarch Chrystal Bradley were named to the Second Team.  MC's Chris Gipson and CNU's Nikki Greenberg were both named to the Third Team.
