Football Officials Donate to Hurricane Relief

(FAYETTEVILLE, N.C.) - The ODAC/USA South Football Officials Association is donating to the American Red Cross for the relief effort relating to Hurricane Katrina that hit the Gulf Coast in August.   The Association asked each football official to donate and raised $1,200 to aid the Americans affected by the hurricane.

The USA South Athletic Conference is currently holding a "USA South CAREs" (Caring Athletes Responding to Emergencies) relief plan.  For the hurricane emergency, each USA South student-athlete, coach, athletic trainer and administrator are being asked to donate at least $1 to aid the relief.  At the end of September the individual institutions' athletic departments will donate the money raised to the relief agency of their choice.
