USA South Announces 25-Year Team for Volleyball
(FAYETTEVILLE, N.C.) - The 2005-06 academic year
marks the 25th anniversary of women's athletics in the USA South
Athletic Conference. Beginning in the fall of the 1981-82 academic
year, the USA South, then known as the Dixie Intercollegiate Athletic
Conference, incorporated four women's sports (volleyball, women's
basketball, softball and women's tennis) and awarded championships in
those sports. In conjunction with the 25th anniversary, the
conference is selecting Silver Anniversary teams in five women's
