Women's Soccer Awards Announced
November 5, 2003 – The USA South Athletic Conference has
announced its All-Conference awards for men's soccer. Greensboro
led the way with six All-Conference members. Methodist and
Christopher Newport followed closely behind with five members each.
CNU's Ashleigh Dota has been named the USA South Player of the Year.
GC's Stephanie Keough is the Rookie of the Year. Bobby Graham,
MC's head coach, is the 2003 Coach of the Year.
Dota, a sophomore midfielder from Woodbridge, VA, recorded eight goals
and two assists for the Captains. Her performance helped CNU to a
three-way tie for regular season champions. The Captains finished
14-5 overall and 7-1 in the Conference. Dota was also First Team
All-Conference last year. Keough, a Magnolia, DE freshman, had 11
goals and five assists on the season. She led the Pride to a
12-3-2 overall record, including 7-1 in Conference play and sharing the
regular season title. In his fifth year at Methodist, Graham
led the Monarchs to a 12-5-1 overall record and a 7-1 Conference record.
His Monarchs shared the regular season title with GC and CNU.
