Men's Basketball Player of the Week
          Jeremy Romeo, Christopher Newport - The junior guard from Yorktown, VA led the Captains to two big Conference wins to finish the season.  He recorded 21 points, four rebounds, no turnovers, one block and two steals in an 85-65 win over Methodist, who was undefeated in the Conference up until then.  Then in an 89-69 win over Greensboro, Romeo contributed 14 points, four rebounds, five assists, just one turnover, a block and three steals.  Also nominated: Ramone Spears, N.C. Wesleyan; Daron Williams, Greensboro; Sterling Williams, Averett; Robert Lee, Methodist

Women's Basketball Player of the Week
         Tara Toland, Ferrum - The North, SC senior guard played a key role in the Panthers going 3-0 last week and 5-0 to end the season.  In an 81-48 victory over Averett, she had nine points to go along with 12 assists and three steals.  Toland recorded 31 points, two rebounds, 11 assists and two steals in a 93-88 win at N.C. Wesleyan.  She then had 30 points, five rebounds, seven assists and seven steals in an 85-78 win over Chowan.  Also nominated: Shameeka Wansley, Methodist; Cassie Womack, Shenandoah; Kimberly Enoch, Greensboro; Candace Bryant, Christopher Newport; Tia Saunders, Peace. 

Baseball Player of the Week
         David Hoffman, Methodist - The Bloomfield, MI senior short stop helped the Monarchs pick up two wins over the weekend.  In a 14-inning 7-6 win at Piedmont, he was 1-4 with an RBI.  Then in a 6-5 victory over PC, Hoffman was 3-6 with two runs scored and two RBI.  Also nominated: Chad Clark, Greensboro and Daniel Bowers, Shenandoah.   

Baseball Pitcher of the Week
         Kevin Mong, Greensboro - The Franklin, PA senior pitcher defeated Frostburg, 7-1.  He had a no-hitter going into the last inning before allowing a hit with one out.  He pitched the complete game, allowing just one run and striking out three batters.  Also nominated: Adam Denning, Methodist and Jason Burgess, Shenandoah.

Men's Basketball Rookie of the Week
      Kenny Johnson, Ferrum - The Panthers went 1-1 this weekend to wrap up the season and the freshman guard from Beaver Falls, PA had stellar performances.  In a 104-87 victory at N.C. Wesleyan, he recorded 25 points, five rebounds, nine assists and four steals.  Johnson had 20 points, six rebounds, 11 assists and seven steals in an 89-76 loss to Chowan.  Also nominated: Lenny Hall, N.C. Wesleyan and Cameron Brown, Averett. 

Women's Basketball Rookie of the Week
      Netagia Foreman, Shenandoah - The Winchester, VA freshman guard played an integral role in the Hornets going 2-1 on the week.  In an 85-23 win over Christendom, she recorded 15 points, 15 rebounds, five assists and two steals.  Foreman then added 13 points, seven rebounds and three assists in a 64-58 loss to Greensboro.  In a 65-45 victory over Methodist, she contributed 17 points, five rebounds, six assists, a block and a steal.  Also nominated: Victoria Liaros, Christopher Newport; Lisa Jackson, Methoidst; Hanna Taylor, Averett. 

Baseball Rookie of the Week
       Kyle Eudy, Methodist - The freshman second baseman from Peachland, NC helped the Monachs go 2-0 over the weekend.  In a 7-6 extra inning win at Piedmont, he went 3-5 with an RBI and run scored.  Eudy pitch hit in the 6-5 win over Piedmont, drawing a walk.  Also nominated: Matthew Smith, N.C. Wesleyan and Bobby Collier, Shenandoah.

Baseball Rookie Pitcher of the Week
       Kevin Showe, Greensboro - The freshman from Columbia, MD picked up the win as the starter in an 8-1 win over Emory & Henry.  He pitched five innings, giving up two hits and allowing a run, while striking out three batters and walking only one.
