Golfer of the Week
          Josh Wiegand, Shenandoah - The freshman from Pembroke, Virginia shot a one-under par 142 to win the Southern Virginia Invitational. Wiegand, who captured his first collegiate tournament win, led the Hornets to the program's first-ever first place finish. Wiegand shot a first round 73 then followed with a 69 in round two. Also Nominated: Josh Cumming, Greensboro; Jake Pleczkowski & Devin Gee, Methodist.
 

Golf Rookie of the Week

Golf Rookie of the Week
          Matt Wagner, Christopher Newport - The freshman from LaPlata, Maryland shot a six-over 148 at the Tom & Bettie O'Briant Memorial Tournament this past week. Wagner shot an opening round, one-over par 72 and followed with a 76 in his closing round to finish tied for 21st at the tournament and help the Captains to a 12th place finish.
