Golfer of the Week
          Nick Yates, Shenandoah - A senior from Dumfries, Virginia, Yates shot a one-over par 145 to finish seventh, out of 60 golfers, at the Virginia State Intercollegiates on October 15. Yates led the Hornets to a fifth place finish in the two-day tournament which featured three USA South squads. Yates had the highest finish amount USA South golfers by shooting a first round 74 then following with a par 71 in round two. Also Nominated: Nick Bova, Methodist.
 

Golf Rookie of the Week

Golf Rookie of the Week
         Brian Grulkowski, Ferrum - A freshman from Lancaster, Virginia, Grulkowski shot a 19-over par 163 to finish tied for 40th, out of 60 golfers, at the Virginia State Intercollegiates on October 15. Grulkowski was the top Panther finisher at the event and had the highest individual finish for a Ferrum golfer this fall. Grulkowski shot a first round 83 then followed with an 80 in round two.
