Todd
Faison, Christopher Newport - The senior quarterback
from Franklin, Virginia passed for 313 yards in a 45-14 win over USA
South rival Averett. Faison was 23-of-32 passing with three touchdowns and one interception.
Faison's touchdown passes were of five, 11 and 16 yards. Also Nominated:

Football Defensive Player of the Week

Pope, N.C. Wesleyan - The Charlotte, North Carolina
sophomore defensive back had a solid all-around game in a 24-17 win over
USA South foe Ferrum. Pope accounted for six tackles, one
tackle-for-loss, one interception, two forced fumbles and one fumble
recovery. Pope's interception came in the fourth quarter as Ferrum was
looking to tie the score. His fumble recovery also occurred in the
fourth quarter and set up the game-winning Bishop touchdown. With the
win, the Bishops have secured a bid to the NCAA Tournament and at least
a share of the USA South Championship. Also nominated: Brian Leary,
Methodist; Zach Morton, Averett; Nick Jensen, Maryville; Dallas Daniels,
Greensboro.
Football Special Teams Player of the Week
Logan
Greene, Greensboro - The Garner, North Carolina
defensive end blocked two kicks in a 13-7
loss to USA South foe Methodist. Both of Greene's blocks came on Monarch
field goal attempts. On defense, Greene tallied seven tackles, three of
which were solo take downs. Also Nominated: Jim LaPinska, Maryville.

Amey, Shenandoah - The freshman wide
receiver
from Bealton, Virginia tallied the second-most receiving yards in school
history as the Hornets fell to USA South foe Maryville, 21-10. Amey
caught six passes for 127 yards, becoming the first Shenandoah receiver
in more than two seasons to go over the 100-yard mark. Amey also carried
the ball twice for 18 yards. Also Nominated: Darnell Walker, Greensboro;
Philip Kwaitkowski, Averett.
Football Defensive Rookie of the Week
Randy
Bianchi, Averett - The freshman defensive back Punta
Gorda, Florida came off the bench to record a 100-yard interception
return for a touchdown in a 45-14 loss to USA South rival Christopher
Newport. Bianchi grabbed his second career interception and scored his
first collegiate touchdown on the play. He also recorded three tackles,
two of which were solo takedowns, in the loss. Also Nominated: Blake
Campbell, Shenandoah; Ryan McGowan, Maryville.
